Emily Reich, Ph.D.
Dr. Emily Reich is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY32995) in Los Angeles, California. She received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon and her B.A. in Psychology from the University of San Francisco. Dr. Reich completed both an APA-accredited predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in the Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine specialty area.
During her fellowship she provided individual, family, and group therapy to adolescents and young adults, provided mental health consultation in interdisciplinary clinics, and administered psychological assessments. Dr. Reich completed rotations in the Pediatric Pain Management Clinic, Substance Use Prevention and Treatment program, and the Homeless Adolescent Wellness Center. As an intern, Dr. Reich worked with both school-aged children as well as adolescents using a variety of treatment modalities and gained experience advocating for her client’s’ needs in their schools. During her
graduate school training, Dr. Reich worked in both outpatient and residential settings with children, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Reich has training in a variety of clinical approaches that include relational, cognitive-behavioral, and attachment-focused techniques. In her current practice, she provides therapy to children, teenagers, and young adults. She works mostly with clinical issues related to depression, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment problems. Dr. Reich uses a holistic approach to understand her clients’ needs and strengths and works to foster hope and resiliency in therapy sessions.
