Parent Support Groups
Parenting Support Groups are available to give you the knowledge and tools you need to help you practice advocacy for your yourself and your child. Parenting groups give you a better understanding of your child’s developmental stages and needs, help interpreting society norms by today’s standards, developing your own sense of confidence to establish loving boundaries, help with building and accepting realistic expectations, appropriately planning for the future, exploring social media and ways to manage outside influences, supporting positive self esteem and independence in your child, and knowing when to ask for help.
Join other parents and explore educational, social and emotional issues that impact your child’s daily life and how you might deal with them more effectively, confidently and successfully. Gain insight about individualized classroom accommodations that your child could benefit from, but that you were unaware of. Come share your parenting struggles and personal triumphs, and be open to the experience of others. We have so much to learn from one another and beginning by articulating your thoughts and feelings with other parents in a group setting can be illuminating.
